Canterbury campusStudent satisfaction with our programmes is consistently high and we pride ourselves on the quality of our teaching, student experience and graduate prospects.

  • Economics at Kent scored 92.4 out of 100 in The Complete University Guide 2019.

  • In The Guardian University Guide 2019, 88% of final-year Economics students were satisfied with the overall quality of their course.

  • In the National Student Survey 2018, over 87% of final-year Economics students who completed the survey, were satisfied with the overall quality of their course.

  • For graduate prospects, Economics at Kent scored 87% in The Guardian University Guide 2019 and 88 out of 100 in The Complete University Guide 2019.

  • Of Economics students who graduated from Kent in 2016 and completed a national survey, 95% were in work or further study within six months (DLHE).

  • In the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) in 2018, our overall performance placed us in the top quarter in the UK with an 88% student satisfaction rate. We were also placed in the top quarter for two key theme areas: Teaching and Learning (92% satisfaction) and Engagement (81% satisfaction).

  • In the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2018, the School also scored highly with an 86% student satisfaction rate, placing us in the top quarter in the UK. Individual satisfaction scores include: Supervision (88% satisfaction); Research skills (88% satisfaction), Progress and Assessment (80% satisfaction); Responsibilities (82% satisfaction); Professional Development (80% satisfaction).
