Student Prizes

The Centre for Professional Practice has a range of prizes available for students completing their dissertations. These prizes have been designed to specifically recognise students’ achievements academically and the impact of their studies upon their professional roles. All prizes are awarded at the official Congregation service and published within the service booklet.

The CPP Professional Practice Impact Prize

The CPP Professional Impact Prize is annually awarded to a Master's level student within in CPP who has demonstrated that their Dissertation has had a major impact upon their professional practice or the practice of their organisation. The Head of Centre in consultation with the Programme Directors will decide on the awarded dissertation. A statement confirming the demonstrated impacts will be required from the student's employing organisation or other suitable stakeholder.

The Debbie Reed Dental Prize

The Debbie Reed Dental Dissertation Prize is awarded annually to a Master's level student within the Centre for Professional Practice who has received the highest mark for their written dissertation on the Applied Dental Professional Practice pathway. The recipient will be nominated by the Programme Director of the Advanced and Specialist Healthcare programmes.

The Professional Practice Prize

The Professional Practice Dissertation Prize fund is annually awarded to a CPP Master’s level student on the Professional Practice programme who has received the highest mark for their written dissertation.

The Harriet Haynes Memorial Award

A prize awarded to a postgraduate student for their dissertation or another project which has demonstrated significant impact on practice in the field related to paediatrics as a result of their work

*Please note students registered to validated programmes are not eligible for award of a CPP student prize.
