Course overview

Develop advanced skills in one or more languages and learn about the societies they're rooted in. Begin at a level that matches your ability in your chosen languages, in order to make rapid progress and prepare you to live and work in a globalised world. A combination of management theory, language expertise and practical experience help you take the lead in business roles around the globe.

You will benefit from being guided by expert staff who will help you build advanced language skills on a flexible and engaging course. You'll study one or two languages of your choice - French, German, Italian or Spanish. You’ll also have the option to take an additional year in a third Language, or spend a year studying or working abroad.

Your year abroad is a great opportunity to show future employers that you can adapt to a new environment. You'll also build your fluency and develop essential skills to get you career-ready.

Course structure

You will not only study languages, but you will have the chance to explore the societies and cultures they are rooted in. Your focus on management will get you prepared for a global career as you fast track your skills to be able to jump into managerial positions.

How you'll study

On our Modern Languages and Management BA, you will benefit from varied teaching methods and assessment types, you could be writing essays, or developing your spoken language skills in oral presentations. You could be learning in lectures, or in group work with native speakers. Our teaching is varied so you can learn language from all approaches and develop well rounded and advanced language skills alongside management expertise.

I really enjoy the oral seminars too – I have a native French teacher, who is really enthusiastic, really fun.

Your future
