Postgraduate Courses 2017/18

General entry requirements

Students who wish to apply for a postgraduate degree must normally have a British first or second class honours degree in a relevant or appropriate subject, or the equivalent from an internationally recognised institution.

However, all applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, and professional qualifications and experience will also be taken into account when considering applications.

Please note that each programme of study will have specific entry requirements too. You can find out what these are by looking up your programme using our course search and checking under the 'Entry requirements' tab.

International students

Please see the international student website to find out our specific entry requirements for your country and other relevant information.

English language requirements

The University requires all non-native speakers of English to reach a minimum standard of proficiency in written and spoken English before beginning a postgraduate degree. Certain subjects require a higher level.

Details of our English language requirements can be found here.
