Marg Mayne is the Chief Executive of Mytime Active, a social enterprise which runs leisure centres and preventative health services across the UK, including child and adult weight management, Stop Smoking, Health Trainers and NHS Health Checks. Marg graduated from the University of Kent in European Studies in 1985.
Originally trained as a chartered accountant, from 1991, Marg Mayne was the Assistant Finance Director for the London & Quadrant Housing Group. In 1995, Marg Mayne joined the Hyde Housing Group as Finance Director. From 2000 to 2007, she worked for the British Council where she oversaw a global growth in income of £100m.
Marg Mayne joined Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) in 2008 as Chief Executive (Global). VSO is an international development NGO that works through volunteers. There she developed the new, ‘People First’ strategy. She raised the profile of VSO’s work at the highest ministerial level, including sharing various national platforms with the Secretary of State for International Development. She also spoke on international platforms in Europe and at the UN.
Marg Mayne has had a series of non-executive roles as Chair and Trustee of several organisations, including The Nationwide Foundation, the Akram Khan Dance Company, Asra Housing Association and Stour Valley Arts, a visual arts organisation close to where she lives in Kent.back to top
