Corporate Events Graduation Ceremonies

The alumni community

For all former students of the University of Kent

As a Kent graduate you become part of our global alumni community, with more than 150,000 members in 200 countries worldwide. Membership of the alumni community is free, automatic and inclusive: once you leave Kent we will stay in touch with you and you will always be welcome on campus or at one of our many events around the world.

Staying in touch

Register for our online alumni community, keep your contact details up to date and keep up with the latest news from Kent! You will receive our monthly alumni e-newsletter and – as long as we have a postal address for you – KENT magazine twice a year. Follow us on Twitter, or like our Facebook page to connect with fellow alumni.

Alumni events

From informal pub nights to reunion dinners, we have a range of alumni events to appeal to everyone. Reunions have recently been held in Canterbury, London, Paris, Brussels, Athens, Rome, Madrid, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, New York and Los Angeles. Check out the full programme of alumni events to find out when we'll be in a city near you.

Get involved

There are lots of ways to get involved and you could benefit from developing your own networks and skills by donating your talent and your time:

  • Add to your own networks and skills by engaging with our alumni groups
  • Become an alumni ambassador and talk about Kent with prospective students
  • Mentor a student or be mentored yourself by an alumnus in your chosen field

Careers support

You can use the Careers Advisory Service for up to three years after graduation to help you to land your dream job. Browse vacancies online and check out the latest top tips on everything from CV writing to interview skills at the Careers & Employability Service website.
Don’t forget that if you choose to return to Kent for postgraduate study you will receive a 10 per cent discount on the first year's tuition fees.

Supporting Kent

Support from alumni and friends plays a vital role in ensuring the continued success of the University. You may have been supported by prizes, bursaries or scholarships which have been donated by alumni and friends. We hope that you will choose to give back and support the next generation of Kent students through the Kent Opportunity Fund.

Please help us stay in touch with you by signing up to our online alumni community today.

Good luck and please stay in touch!
