Terms and conditions

The University reserves the right to cancel an application, withdraw an offer already made, or cancel the registration of a student on a course, if it discovers that any information provided by the applicant in support of the application has been falsified and cannot be officially verified. All candidates are required to submit original documents (eg academic degree transcripts; English language test certificates) as part of the University's registration process.

Applicants should read the following terms and conditions before completing the University's online Clearing application form. In submitting an application via the Clearing website the applicant agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions of using this service:

  • Applicants will comply with published UCAS rules and regulations governing the admissions process.
  • Applicants must provide a valid email address which will be used by the University to communicate with the Clearing applicant.
  • Any offer made by the University, conditional or unconditional, via Clearing will not be binding until the offer has been confirmed and accepted by the applicant via UCAS Track and enters a 'UF' status with the University.
  • Applicants can withdraw their Clearing application at any point by using the 'withdraw application' button in KentVision. Applicants who have accepted a Clearing offer but wish to change their minds should contact the Admissions Office for advice.
  • Full details of any previous applications made to the University or any period of study undertaken at the University and in the UK must be fully disclosed at the point of application. Failure to do so will result in the clearing application being cancelled and will invalidate any CAS issued to overseas applicants requiring a visa.
  • The University reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any offer made to an applicant if it is subsequently established that the information provided by the applicant does not match the application data held by UCAS, or, if the University is unable to complete the application process on the basis of the information provided by the applicant.
  • The applicant is responsible for providing the University with official confirmation of all examination results/entry qualifications indicated on the Clearing application form and used to secure an offer of a place. Failure to provide this confirmation will result in the offer/registration of the applicant being cancelled.
  • Student accommodation will only be offered subject to availability and is not guaranteed for Clearing applicants. The University will determine the allocation of accommodation to Clearing applicants as the circumstances dictate in Clearing. Normally this will be on a first come, first served basis but other allocation methods may also be deployed at the discretion of the University.
  • The University will allow multiple Clearing applications to be submitted, however, only one application can be accepted and all other current or future applications will be automatically withdrawn once confirmation of acceptance of an offer has been received via UCAS. If your first application is rejected you are permitted to submit a further application to another subject area.
  • Applicants must disclose any relevant criminal convictions. This includes convictions received after submission of the Clearing application and prior to enrolment at the University.
