Hannah joined us in May 2018 for one year as a ‘Visiting Darzi Fellow’.
Hannah studied medicine at the University of Oxford and returned to Kent after ten years to continue her gastroenterology specialty training in the Kent Deanery. She is taking time out of clinical work to learn more about systems leadership and sustainable quality improvement before returning to the NHS front line.
She is working on a clinical alerting project which aims to provide clinicians with real-time contextualised information about deteriorating patients to improve their care. The project, based on the principles of ‘nudge theory’, is funded by the Health Foundation and is being piloted at Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate.
