Research and Innovation Coordinator

In my role within CHSS, I work closely with senior members of the centre and support research staff on specific projects. I provide a Personal Assitant service to Professors Patricia Wilson and Jenny Billings, as well as offering comprehensive administration support to other colleagues in the department. I am responsible for coordinating our departmental events, including symposiums (European Forum for Primary Care March 2018, ICCHNR 2016), conferences, research seminars (Kent Academic Primary Care Unit), open lectures (CHSS Open Lecture 2018) and even a couple of pre-election health policy debates.

I am also the Admissions Officer for the centre's Integrated Clinical Academic Programme (ICAP)

During my employment, I helped to set up and coordinate our iBSc Management in Primary Care programme and have coordinated the SSPSSR School and Research Centres’ Staff Ethics Committee.

I gained my NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration at Canterbury College in 1994 and then embarked upon my working life.  I first worked at BAE Systems at Rochester from 1994 to 2004 where I was Secretary to a Project Manager and 200+ engineers.  I joined CHSS in 2004 and have enjoyed working in the centre ever since.
