I joined CHSS in September 2015. My PhD investigates the role of sleep as a factor for delirium in the older adult population. I am particularly interested in individuals who undergo elective surgery and have a stay in hospital afterwards. My interest also lies in shaping new models of cognition to inform patient care and management. I have previous research experience in the set-up and administration of EEG, neuro-stimulation and the administration of computerised test batteries.
Previously based at the School of Psychology, my background is mostly within cognitive psychology and I studied both my BSc in Psychology and MSc in Neuropsychology/Cognitive Psychology at the University of Kent.My BSc and MSc focused on the role of the vestibular system in higher cortical functions. I have contributed to projects based at the University and two East Kent Hospitals.
