Adenike Omotayo

PhD Student and STP Workforce Workstream Lead, KCHFT

I began my PhD in CHSS in October 2017. I am a General Nurse (adult & children), a Midwife, and a Family Planning practitioner with over 30 years experience, a STEM ambassador, and a peer reviewer for the Asian Journal of Pharmacy, Nursing and Medical Science (AJPNMS).

My research is on preventing obesity in the pre-school age group. I am looking at this from a Health Visitor's and parental perspective in light of the Healthy Weight, Healthy Nutrition training delivered by the Institute of Health Visiting (IHV).

Qualifications

I have an MA in Health Research, an MSc in Interprofessional Health and Social Care (Public Health & Health Promotion) and a BSC in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing. I have also undertaken a Leadership and Management course by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), Department of Health residential Adaptive Leadership training and NHS People Management Leadership Academy training. I am a trained PRINCE 2 project manager.
