Postural care education programme and further research

Kate Hamilton-West, Annette King

Dr Kate Hamilton-West and Annette King are working together with collaborators at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) and East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) to conduct research into a postural care education programme for parents and teachers who are responsible for the postural care needs of disabled children at home and school.

The collaborators will deliver a number of ‘train the trainer’ workshops using materials developed from their previous NIHR-funded study. Feedback from the workshops will enable further refinement of the materials and data collected will be used as part of the programme’s ongoing evaluation.
