The purpose of this project was to review published & unpublished (audits, etc.) evidence on the use of an ethnic origin question as a primary screening tool for the haemoglobinopathies and to recommend one or more such questions. In collaboration with The Unit for the Social Study of Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell, De Montford University, Leicester.
