About Talking Cultures
The University of Kent has a long tradition of welcoming and teaching students and professionals from around the world with experience of a wide range of global cultures. The information below describes some of our key areas of our Talking Cultures provision:
A brief introduction...
Talking Cultures developed from initial funding provided by HEA/UKCISA , is delivered by the Centre for English and World Languages. Our provision offers a range of workshops and training opportunities which focus on developing and enhancing intercultural awareness and communication in a variety of settings.
The focus of our provision...
Talking Cultures currently delivers bespoke workshops for Kent Study Abroad Students which aims to build on students’ skills and attributes to further enhance their contextual and cultural dexterity within an Intercultural Competency Framework (ICF).
Talking Cultures is also available to professionals (members of university staff and the wider community) looking to further enhance their understanding of cultures within and outside a global working environment.
We also offer expertise in intercultural and interpersonal communication to medical and healthcare practitioners.
