Careers Fair: Tuesday 31 October 2017
Sports Centre, Canterbury Campus
12-3pm (11am-12pm Access Hour)
The award-winning Careers and Employability Service at the University of Kent present our annual Careers Fair!
The Careers Fair is an opportunity for students of all degree subjects to visit two halls of exhibitors offering graduate and undergraduate opportunities ranging from Graduate Schemes, Year in Industry placements and Summer Internships to Insight Days.
This year we will be opening the Careers Fair 1 hour earlier to allow students with disabilities and mental health issues (including anxiety) the opportunity to meet employers in a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere. Want to find out more? Access Hour
Why you should attend?
Last year we asked students who did not attend the Careers Fair, why not:
I went last year
The University of Kent has developed some excellent relationships with employers who chose to attend our Careers Fair annually to meet with students and recent graduates but we are always striving to develop more. At the 2016 event we had 74 new exhibitors
I had work and didn’t receive enough notice to book annual leave
Save the date now! Tuesday 31 October 2017
I was told by another student that you should only go in your 3rd year
Exhibitors are offering both graduate and undergraduate opportunities. Check out the exhibitor information via Who will be there? to find out what sort of opportunities are available
I did not know what to say to them
We can help with this! Check out the events taking place during Employability Festival on how to prepare for the Careers Fair
Careers Fairs are daunting
We can understand that. Check out the Access Hour page for an innovation we are making this year that may help. Please note: no previous disclosure required
There wasn’t anyone for my degree subject
- Whilst we strive to reach employers from all degree subjects, some industries just do not recruit via the careers fair route. We therefore encourage these employers to meet with our students at events during Employability Festival that are tailored better for their industry
- Think outside the box! Each year we publish a list of exhibitors that would like to speak with students and graduates from all degree subjects
