CV SURGERY 10.30 to 12.30 and 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm in the Careers and Employability Service (Keynes Driveway) every weekday.

13 PRESENTATION: HOW TO PREPARE AN IMPRESSIVE CV 1 pm KLT5 (b) CVs are useful tools for all kinds of job applications, but especially for speculative applications, for applying to smaller employers and for the creative and media sectors. What do employers look for on CVs and how can you make yours stand out from the crowd? A careers adviser's tips.

14 Bank of England Roadshow Introduction to the Bank and an overview of our programmes. 1 PM KLT6. This session will focus on the whole recruitment experience from application stage to the interview process. We will include top tips on how to be successful and the competencies we are looking for during the assessments.

Challenge the Bank 2.15 to 3.15. This will be led by a senior member of the Bank from the business who will lead a topical discussion for students to ask as many questions as they like. This could cover anything from debates on inflation, interest rates, banking regulation etc.

Graduate Panel 3.30 to 4.30. This will be graduates talking about their time here at the Bank and allow students the opportunity to ask questions about life as a graduate, the scheme, the culture, or training and development. 


15 SEO London 1 pm KLT5 SEO London is a not-for-profit organisation that every year provides hundreds of outstanding individuals from under-represented backgrounds with extremely competitive internship and graduate positions with our 60+ partner firms. SEO London provides students with support in every year of their degree, from first years to graduates in the form of technical training, mentoring, interview preparation, CV coaching and much more! In our presentation we will give detail on the 1000+ opportunities for students, our accelerated access schemes and the best ways to maximise your potential in securing a 1st year insight, summer internship, placement or graduate job. 21 Sky's Grad team: Make your application stand out 1 PM to 2.15

22 POLICE NOW 1 pm KLT5 Do you want to influence how the Police operate in your community? If so, come along to this workshop to find out how! Police Now's mission is to transform communities, reduce crime and increase the public's confidence in policing, by recruiting and developing outstanding and diverse individuals to be leaders in society and on the policing frontline. Rare, a diversity specialist, is working with Police Now to provide support throughout the application process for black and minority ethnic applicants. The workshop will include:

  • The opportunity to critique and discuss real examples of police activity in diverse communities, 
  • The opportunity to hear from a Police Now representative about the details of the scheme.
  • The opportunity to hear about and sign up for Rare’s support service.
  • Come along to this interactive workshop to find out more.
