Recruitment and Selection Training - Chair of Panel Training

Designed for: recruiting managers who are acting as the Chair of the selection process involved. Participants should have undertaken the Recruitment and Selection training prior to booking on to this course.

The workshop takes the panel chair through each step of the recruitment and selection process from start to finish, paying particular attention to the responsibilities of leading each stage and the skills required to effectively recruit and manage the process.

It is designed to be a relaxed workshop, providing real examples of situations encountered through shortlisting and interviews, with the opportunity for attendees to ask questions at every step of the way.

Learning objectives: by the end of the workshop attendees will:

Understand the key responsibilities of being the panel chair and be confident in leading all stages of the selection process

Be aware of the legal context in relation to recruitment and selection and be able to identify and mitigate areas of risk especially in regards to interviewing

Have a strong understanding of Equality, Diversity & Inclusivity in the selection process and how to effectively support the other panel members through the process
