Jeff Hilson
Creative Writing Reading Series

The bewitching Jeff Hilson has written four books of poetry: stretchers (Reality Street, 2006), Bird bird (Landfill, 2009), In The Assarts (Veer, 2010) and most recently Latanoprost Variations which has just come out from Boiler House Press. His fifth book of poems, Organ Music, is due out from Crater Press next year. He also edited The Reality Street Book of Sonnets (Reality Street, 2008) which US poet Ron Silliman called "easily the finest collection of contemporary sonnets ever put together." One reviewer described his first book of poems as being "wonderful – like a tiny man pointing at a camel and laughing for ten minutesstraight." In The Assarts was a Times Literary Supplement Poetry Book of the Year.

Jeff runs Xing the Line poetry reading series in London, and is Reader in Creative Writing at the University of Roehampton.
