The Art and Computer Science of Visual effects
Careers & Employability events at Canterbury

Graham Bell from MPC - one of the world's leading visual effects companies based in the UK, will give an overview of the industry and highlight  the types of opportunities available for anyone interested in this exciting and growing industry, but otherwise hadn't considered it possible. There are many roles available that aren't focused solely on the creative aspects.

Graham will showcase some of the MPC's work including their Oscar winning work for The Jungle Book and replicating Rachael for Blade Runner 2049 to 'The Boy and the Piano',  John Lewis's 2018 Christmas commercial, and will also delve more into MPC as a company, specifically their R&D Software department, the types of research, technologies and products they create, their developers and how they operate on a global scale to deal with the immense artistic and technical challenges.
