The Paper Stage: The Early Modern Play Reading Series
Kent's early modern play-reading society has an exciting new series lined up for Spring 2019. The series will be of particular interest to those studying early modern literature (especially those taking EN694 Shakespeare and Early Modern Drama), but all students are welcome. Whether you're an experienced Paper Stager or are yet to sample the delights of live early modern drama, you're welcome to come along for the thrills and spills of a fresh selection of brilliant comedies, tragedies and histories from the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries.
The readings are informal, lively and experimental, and give you the chance to become part of the action as readers (although of course listeners are equally welcome). We have a hashtag (#paperstage) so check it out if you want to know more.
