Careers in Project Management
Careers & Employability events at Canterbury

Projects come in all shapes and sizes, from the renovation of a house to the organisation and delivery of a major sporting event. The Association for Project Management (APM) is the Chartered body for the project profession and Europe's largest such organisation. Its popular Student membership – which is free – brings you closer to the world of projects, with access to APM knowledge and networks.  This session will cover the basics of project management as well as shine a light on the variety of companies and sectors where project professionals are employed (spoiler alert – not just construction and engineering). You will discover more about APM's networks and groups around the country that will help you learn more about this increasingly important discipline. The session will also feature an APM member working in a project-based role, to give you a sense of the career journey project professionals have.  Finally, there will also be information on APM's professional qualifications and routes to Chartered Project Professional status.
