SECL Tandem Language Exchange
Department of Modern Languages

Have you ever wanted to practice the language you are currently learning with a native speaker? On the other hand, would you like to practice your mother tongue, if you spend most of your time only speaking English? Or maybe you'd like the opportunity to help teach a student a language you already are fluent it?

If you've thought 'Yes' to any of these questions then SECL has the programme for you.

We are launching a Tandem Language Exchange pilot programme.

The Tandem Language Exchange provides students at the University of Kent with the opportunity to improve their language skills by bringing together people who speak different languages to share their passion and knowledge in an informal way.

Tandem Language Exchange is a great way to meet new people at the University of Kent and improve a language outside of the classroom. After we have paired you up, you will agree the time, place and how often you want to meet. Whatever your language level is, all you need is the enthusiasm to learn and practise a foreign language, and to meet people who come from across the world.
