This event will consist of the felling and processing of one of more trees using traditional forestry tools - thereby imparting an appreciation of the work and skills that were involved in most timber and wood processing until the introduction of the chain saw some 60+ years ago. The sustainable management of a woodlands, and the production of timber and wood products (which lock up carbon) are activities that will Note: participants must wear sturdy shoes (safety shoes if you have them - there are some available to borrow) - and old/work clothes.
