Designed for: Managers/supervisors who are involved in undertaking RPD discussions with members of staff. The workshop is suitable for managers new to undertaking these discussions or for more experienced managers looking to refresh their knowledge and skills in this area.

This workshop aims to provide a very practical approach, utilising lots of interaction and discussion, providing opportunity to interact with other managers/supervisors from across the University, share common experience and knowledge and increase internal networks, whilst developing an understanding of the RPD process and required skills.

Learning objectives: by the end of the course participants will:

Understand more about the purpose of the RPD process used at Kent

Be able to confidently utilise the provided templates and documentation to support effective RPD conversations

Be able to effectively prepare both self (as reviewer) and the staff member (as reviewee) for a valuable RPD conversation

Link RPD discussions to effective follow up actions and development planning
