Getting into a computing career if you haven't got a degree in computing
Careers & Employability events at Canterbury

There are a vast array of well-paid jobs in the UK IT industry and many don't involve high level technical skills, just an interest in and willingness to learn about technology. Many are more about people skills than technical skills and many firms wish to recruit more female graduates into IT. This session will cover:

• Career opportunities in IT including software engineering, systems analysis, consultancy, forensic computing, web design, digital marketing and many more.• Employers who will take graduates without a computing degree and train you in technology• Postgraduate conversion courses in computing open to any subject• Teaching yourself useful skills such as Python• Computer aptitude tests • How to get further help
