Science Fiction Film Season: High Rise (2015)
Science Fiction: History and Innovation

As part of the second-year module Science Fiction: History and Innovation, a selection of films are screened in the autumn term. The season is open not only to students taking the module but to all others interested in film and/or science fiction. With a mixture of large- and small-budget films, mainstream classics and art-house surprises, there's something for everyone.

High Rise (2015; dir. Ben Wheatley)

Loved and loathed in equal measure by the critics, this is your chance to decide for yourself. Wheatley offers a dark, violent, satirical take on J.G. Ballard's tale of urban collapse. Not one for dog lovers.
