About

I am currently engaged in research that aims to assess mental health service provision in the UK from the perspective of a human right to health. The government’s austerity measures will be examined to determine how, and the extent to which, they undermine the rights of those with mental health problems – and specifically, the essential elements of the right to health, namely availability, acceptability, accessibility, and quality.

Sian is the convenor for Critical International Migration Law (LW900) in Brussels and Canterbury on the LLM Programme and is the Human Rights Pathway Director. She also convenes Human Rights and English Law (LW509) on the Undergraduate Programme.
