I received a BA in English from Northern Illinois University, a BA in Art (Graphic Design) from DePaul University, Chicago, and an MA in Art History from Northern Illinois University where my research focused on Pugin and Industrialization, topics that I continue to explore in my PhD research.
I am a PhD candidate and the recipient of the University of Kent Research Scholarship. I am also a member of Create (Centre for Research into European Architecture) and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
Before starting my PhD, I taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and would like to return to the classroom once my degree is complete. While at Kent I earned an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
In addition to my schoolwork, I serve as a committee member of The Pugin Society where I’m responsible for web design and maintenance and design work.
