Gavin Esler, Rutherford 1971, is first alumnus to serve as Chancellor
As Kent approaches its 50th anniversary year, Gavin Esler tells of his delight in becoming the first former student to make the journey to being Chancellor, following in the footsteps of distinguished predecessors including Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, Baron Grimond, and, most recently Professor Sir Robert Worcester. In our feature article, Gavin considers at the path he took to get here, and looks forward to embracing his new role.

Kent graduates paint a picture of success at the Turner
For over 20 years the School of Arts has been providing innovative teaching in the visual arts. With a practical focus on employability, the school sees a high proportion of graduates go forward to pursue careers in arts related fields. Three former students, now employed at the Turner Contemporary in Margate share their stories.
