Lidia is currently managing director of the British Stem Cell Registry and a research scientist at the University of Cambridge. Her research is aiding the progression of techniques to use stem cells in the fight against degenerative or life-limiting diseases including diabetes, cancer, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's. It studies the evasive mechanisms that viruses use to avoid recognition by the human immune system.
She completed her PhD in immunology at the University of Cambridge, having previously spent seven years as a managing partner in a media business working on customer liaison and marketing.back to top
