Douglas Benjamin, Group Chief Operating Officer of F J Benjamin Holdings Ltd, a leader in building brands and developing retail and distribution networks for international luxury and lifestyle labels across Asia, oversees the Group’s responsibilities.

Douglas, who founded the Group’s in-house brand Raoul, directs the international expansion of the label. Launched in 2002, Raoul began as a men’s shirt label and has since evolved to include a full collection ofready-to-wear and accessories for women and men, with uncompromising standards of design and quality. Today, Raoul has established a strong presence in company owned stores in Asia and a wide international network distribution across the United States and Europe.

Douglas was born in 1964 and raised in Singapore by Frank and Mavis Benjamin. The eldest of four siblings, he attended St Andrew’s Junior College before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree at the University of Kent. Upon graduation in 1989, Douglas joined the Group starting off as a Retail Executive and worked his way up the corporate ladder.

During the last 25 years at F J Benjamin, Douglas has been acknowledged as a reputable industry leader who is instrumental in managing and directing the growth of some of the most iconic global fashion brands and is well respected both in Singapore and in the fashion capitals of London and New York for his experience and expertise.

Douglas is the co-founder and board member of Kids Horizon Appeal of Singapore which helps children with chronic illnesses. He also sits on the board of trustees for the KK Hospital Health Endowment fund.
