We work directly with businesses across Kent, supporting new start-up companies and bringing together key local figures to drive economic growth.
The Hub for Innovation and Enterprise, our dedicated start-up incubator, has supported the launch of more than 132 companies since 2010, creating 190 new job in Canterbury. Hub companies contributed £8.8m to the local economy between 2013 and 2018.
We also work together with 10 economic partnerships in the region to promote business and raise the profile of Kent, while more than 250 local business leaders network and share ideas at our Business Schools' Executive Forum events.
Elsewhere, we use a number of schemes to connect businesses with our researchers, delivering key operational, technological and strategic improvements for several local companies.

David on his partnership with the Hub
The support from the Hub’s team of mentors has been invaluable, helping us establish our own network of industry contacts and providing advice on the development of our business. They helped fill the gaps in our knowledge about the legal side of starting a business and have given us great advice on how to market ourselves effectively.
