Simon Levack is a novelist and short story writer. To date he has published four books: Demon of the Air (2004), Shadow of the Lords(2005), City of Spies(2006) and Tribute of Death(2007). All are historical mysteries, set in Precolumbian Mexico on the eve of the Spanish conquest. His short fiction has appeared in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine and his short story “Jade Skirt” was selected for The Mammoth Book of Best British Mysteries(2008). His first novel, Demon of the Air, won the Debut Dagger Award, given by the UK Crime Writers' Association, in 2000.
