  • SEDA Workshop - Improving student learning and experience through changing assessment environments at programme level: a practical guide: 27 October.
    • Woburn House, London. This workshop will enable participants to use a methodology for improving assessment at programme level that is proving highly effective in a number of universities. More>>
  • Advance notice: SEEC's Annual Conference will take place on the 10 December in London.
    • The conferenceis called “Credit: Changes and Challenges”, and is will reflect on the success of credit, and the challenges it has and will pose. The new SEEC Level Descriptors will also be launched by Mark Atlay, Chair of SEEC. Details of the conference programme, fees and booking form will be made available on the SEEC website.
  • SEDA Spring Teaching Learning Assessment Conference: Academics for the 21st Century, to be held in Edinburgh, 5 May - 6 May 2011 is now calling for papers. Proposals due 1 November 2010. More>>
  • Evidence-based Practice Synthesis: Enhancing learning and teaching through the use of technology for Assessment and Feedback, Southampton, 10 November. More>>
  • The Student Assessment and Classification Working Group annual seminar: 25 November will address the question 'What are the purposes and value of re-assessment ?' Issues include:
    • Rationale
    • Relationship to learning
    • Nature of tasks
    • Differences in regulations (number of resit opportunities, capping of marks, etc.)

    • Retention
