Networks:
The Learning and Teaching Network (incorporating the Assessment Network) now holds events for staff interested in developing practical aspects of their work with students. Events are broadly structured around the six categories used in the NSS questionnaire:
- teaching
- assessment and feedback
- academic support
- organisation and management
- learning resources
- personal development

- Exploring Formative Assessment in Practice, 30 October 2009. Keynote Dr Berry O'Donovan, Deputy Director of Assessment Standards Knowledge Exchange CETL (ASKe) and Acting Head of Learning and Teaching at the Business School (Oxford Brookes). This conference aims to provide staff from all departments the opportunity to share practical ideas to enhance formative assessment in line with the current University enhancement theme of developing effective learners.
