Louise Frith is a Educational and Curriculum Developer and Study Skills Tutor. Her main responsibility at Kent is to advise departments on how to embed Personal Development Planning (PDP) and study skills in the Curriculum. She came to Kent in 2004, prior to that she had a varied teaching career. This has included; teaching English Language to Asylum Seekers, working as a Teacher-Trainer in Nepal and teaching ‘A’ level History in a Manchester 6th form college.
Louise is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Centre for Recording Achievement. Louise’s’ research interests include:
- The impact of PDP and e-portfolios on students’ learning.
- Threshold Concepts approach to curriculum development.
- Developing communities of practice for students academic skills development.
