Funding to develop teaching
Higher Education Academy
The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is the main source of external funding for the development of teaching. It offers development grants for teaching projects and research on teaching, as well as disciplinary resources. Several colleagues in Kent have been successful in obtaining HEA grants. If you are interested in making a bid to the HEA, the Academic Practice team can advise on applications.

Other sources of CPD funding and support
A small fund for supporting academic Continuing Professional Development is available through Schools. This can be used to support staff awaydays and other CPD initiatives. Individuals can also apply to the Learning and Development office for development opportunities and financial support.
