Workshop programme: Canterbury campus

The student skills & learning development programme is a practical programme of workshops for all University of Kent students including: IT training, study skills and information about further sources of advice. Workshops are suitable for undergraduates, taught postgraduates and research postgraduates, and are completely free (some are subject to a non-attendance fee).

Booking is essential for all sessions.

This hands-on workshop will demonstrate how to use RefWorks online reference management software. You can use RefWorks to download, manage and store references, and then insert them into essays, assignments, dissertations and theses to create in-text citations and a correctly formatted bibliography.

Preparing Dissertations or Extended Assignments with Word 2010

Tue 26 February: 1:30 – 3:30pm

Hands-on training introducing some of the more advanced features of Microsoft Word suitable for those producing dissertations or other extended assignments.
To attend this course you must be familiar with standard Microsoft Word features including saving files, formatting text and paragraphs. If you are not familiar with these features please attend the Preparing Essays using Word 2010 workshop.
