Iron Gym exhibition

Iron Gym is a University led participatory public art project combining heritage sites and artefacts with sporting activities in Medway, as part of the Creative Campus Initiative. The project aims to connect past with present by interpreting cultural heritage in a novel manner, through a series of design and sculptural installations in the form of an exercise trail, linking the Universities at Medway campus with heritage sites and the local community in Medway.

Led by Dr Ian Bride (School of Anthropology and Conservation) and supported by the Arts Council, staff and students from Fine Arts and Sports Management have worked in collaboration with local artists to design site-specific Iron Gym installations across heritage sites in Medway.

An exhibition of the Iron Gym Project will take place onboard LV21 in Gillingham from Saturday 28th July to Sunday 12th August. Opening hours - Saturday & Sunday 11am-4pm. Admission is free. For more information, visit: www.irongymproject.co.uk
