Summer Car Park Closures

This year the University is hosting a number of events and conferences, requiring coach and car parking. In addition, there will be major maintenance work and some new building developments taking place. Inevitably due to these events and general works, some car parks will need to be closed or partially closed for periods during the summer.

In order to manage parking safely and effectively through the summer, Kent Hospitality and the Estates Department have agreed a suitable Traffic Management Plan. This includes a temporary coach park being implemented for the summer period, within a section of the Giles Lane Blue Zone car park. This will assist with the number of coaches that will be on site and aims to stop coaches parking in central car parks. If you arrive to the University and find a coach parked in any of the central car parks please report to Campus Watch.

To review all car park closures during the summer, please visit http://www.kent.ac.uk/estates/transport/parking/car_park_closures_2012.html.

The Traffic Regulations continue to apply so please ensure you park in allocated spaces rather than on grass verges, yellow lines or undesignated bays. All accessible bays will remain open as usual.

If you would like to provide feedback, please visit https://www.kent.ac.uk/estates/transport/feedback.php and we will direct it to the people managing the relevant building work or conference.
