About exams at Kent

The Examinations team are responsible for organising and running:

  • end of year exams that take place in May - June during the summer term;
  • resit exams in August;
  • exams that departments run at other times - eg Anthropology exams in January.

During the main exam session in 2012, over 10,000 students sat papers for more than 860 different modules across four different campus locations. This totalled over 55,000 individual seatings, with special arrangements provided for over 800 students.

Our aim is to ensure that all exams run smoothly and that students are treated fairly and equitably.
