Psychoanalysis, gender, and mental health.

Current Research Projects

'Most recent book: Freud's Art : Psychoanalysis Retold (Routledge 2007) is leading to research for a book, provisionally called Art & Psychoanalysis: Lives of Adrian Stokes '.

Research Supervision

Delighted to supervise anyone in the above areas (i.e. psychoanalysis, gender, mental health). Current and past supervised PhD theses include: representing femininity with special reference to women's magazines geared to Japanese students; psychoanalytic perspectives on serial murder; psychiatry, empathy, and the body; traumatising abortion; gender and moral development.
