I joined the University of Kent in 2007 from a background of professional social work and training mainly in a local government setting. Publications included a video assisted training package on the Children Act. My current role is focused on developing effective practice placements for social work students, this gives me an interest in the integration of work based and academic learning.
Research interests include linkages between learning in childhood and adulthood. My principal interest area is in child development and its application to social work practice with an emphasis on using neuroscience within social work.
