Sports studies
The University of Kent offers both undergraduate degree and postgraduate programmes in sport and exercise at its Centre of Sports Studies located at the University’s Medway campus. Students at the University of Kent have the opportunity of joining various student sports clubs. The Sports Federation, funded by the Students' Union, runs over 35 different clubs, from American Football to the Ski & Snowboarding club. The sports are represented at a range of levels, from recreational purposes to competitive involvement.
Experience is definitely not necessary, and the Sports Federation are currently lobbying for funding to help fund sports for people with disabilities.
If there is a sport that you are interested in, and it is not already on offer, or you require any information regarding student sports clubs please contact the Sports Federation and they will help to facilitate your enquiry/request.
Student clubs are only open to students of the University of Kent.

Centre for Sports Studies
The Centre for Sports Studies is based at the Medway Building Chatham Maritime. It currently offers the following undergraduate degree programmes: BSc (Hons) Sport Therapy, Health & Fitness, which is accredited by the Society for Sports Therapists; BSc Sports, Exercise and Fitness Science, which is accredited by the Register of Exercise Professionals, and BA Sports and Exercise Management. It also runs a postgraduate MSc in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.
Through their current degree programmes they aim to enable students to acquire the necessary academic and professional knowledge and skills to build the foundations for a successful career in the sports and exercise industry. This is further strengthened by accreditation from professional bodies such as the Society of Sports Therapists and the Register of Exercise Professionals, close links with the industry and research and consultancy activities.
