Career History:
Before joining the department, I worked for Standard Life in Edinburgh and also for Standard Life's joint venture in India, HDFC Standard Life. The joint venture was one of the first insurance companies to be set up after the insurance industry in India was opened up to private players - I was part of the project team that worked on getting regulatory approval for the new company.
My experience in the life industry includes pricing, product development, valuation and business planning.

I am a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries and I qualified in 2005.
I am also a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of India.
