  • Dizionari Garzanti - An online bilingual and monolingual dictionary: English into Italian, Italian into English, Italian monolingual and Italian synonyms (requires free registration, highly advised).
  • Wordreference.com - Bilingual dictionaries from and into many languages, very good and user/friendly. Check also the Forum.
  • On-line translation - Logos.it is one of the most important translation sites in Europe. Here you will find on-line dictionaries and even a small course in translation.

  • Italian Literature in HTML - This archive contains freely accessible Italian literary texts in HTML format.
  • Virtual Library - From the Progetto Manuzio. A very large library of texts in ASCII format which can be freely downloaded.

  • Digital Dante - A comprehensive hypertext guide to Dante's work, including not only the text of the Comedy with various English translations, but also secondary sources carefully selected and edited at Columbia University.
  • Dante: a guide to online resources - Edited by O. Lieberknecht, is even more comprehensive and perfectly complements the former.
  • The Decameron Web - From Brown University, an exploration into the world of Boccaccio's Decameron, which exploits the full potential of hypertext.
