Classical & Archaeological Studies

David did his MA in ancient history in Oxford and is currently both senior lecturer in ancient history and Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University. His research and teaching interests are in ancient Greek and Roman history and particularly in the late Roman Republic and the early Empire, with expert knowledge of Roman banking and fiscal policy.
