In addition to the University's generous income related bursary scheme, a pool of scholarships is allocated to students attending partner schools and colleges.

The University is working with its partner schools to raise the aspirations of students and encourage them to consider the benefits of higher education.
The partner schools’ team offers a wide range of modules and activities, including subject-specific projects, modules which focus upon progression to HE and sessions designed to support teachers. This programme of activities is designed to:
- Help students decide if university is for them
- Introduce students to a range of academic subjects
- Assist students with their UCAS applications
- Help students to develop the skills needed in higher education
- Help teachers and parents to support their students progress to higher education
