The vibrant international city of Hong Kong is a great place to study on exchange, and it can be made more affordable with a Scholarship for Excellence!
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills is funding a minimum of ten scholarships for students in England to spend a semester or full year at a university in Hong Kong for the academic year of 2011-2012. Each scholarship is worth between £2,000 and £4,000.
There is also an additional scholarship funded by A Better Tomorrow Limited (Hong Kong) for exchange study in the Faculty of Business Administration at Hong Kong Baptist University.
Criteria and Eligibility
The scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to candidates who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and the potential to make a substantial contribution to the well-being of the international community.
Applicants must:
• be UK passport holders studying on undergraduate courses in England
• have already applied for undergraduate study on exchange at one of the universities in Hong Kong
• have a good academic record with a GPA of at least 3.0 or equivalent.
Students currently studying in Hong Kong are not eligible.
How to apply
Applicants must:
• Apply for a suitable exchange course and institution.
• Complete the Scholarships for Excellence application form and submit to the British Council
Hong Kong.
The deadline for applications is Friday 6 April 2012.
