BSc (Hons) Anthropology

Incorporating modules in both social and biological anthropology to give you a broad picture of what it is to be 'human'.

Are you interested in the study of primates, human evolution, disease, nutrition, skeletal biology and genetics? Do you want to combine this with study of cultures and the social aspects of being human? Do you want a broad-ranging anthropology degree where you get to choose the topics that you learn about in detail? If so, the BSc in Anthropology at Kent is the degree for you! This programme incorporates courses in both social and biological anthropology to give you a broad - and the best - picture of what it is to be 'human'. The University of Kent has one of the few anthropology departments in the country with the expertise to offer such a combination of the social and biological. This degree is ideal whether you have an arts, humanities or science background, and gives you both skills and knowledge across these disciplines - critical thinking, essay writing, presentation skills, numerical, computing and research skills. his degree programme is structured to give you as much flexibility as possible - so that you gain the core skills and knowledge, but at the same time specialise in areas that you find interesting, and to either bias your studies toward either the biological or social aspects of anthropology, or keep a broad perspective on both.
